Unbox & Verify
Only use the official TreZor® box and tamper-evident seals. If packaging looks altered, contact support. Verify device authenticity using the serial / hologram on the label or the official web verification tool.
Congratulations — your TreZor® hardware wallet is the most secure way to store private keys and manage cryptocurrencies. This guide walks you through a reliable, brand-new setup: unboxing, initial setup, PIN creation, recovery seed storage, firmware update, and how to send your first transaction. It’s designed for clarity, safety, and fast adoption.
TreZor® isolates private keys in secure hardware so sensitive cryptographic operations never leave the device. Using TreZor® ensures your wallet is protected from malware and phishing attacks on your computer or phone. Follow these steps carefully to keep your keys safe and your coins accessible only to you.
Only use the official TreZor® box and tamper-evident seals. If packaging looks altered, contact support. Verify device authenticity using the serial / hologram on the label or the official web verification tool.
Power up your TreZor® and connect it to your computer or trusted mobile device. Open the official TreZor® app at trezor.io/start for guided setup and downloads.
Set a strong numeric PIN on the device. The PIN protects access to the hardware if the device is physically stolen. Keep your PIN private — do not store it digitally.
TreZor® will display a 12–24 word recovery seed. Write it down on the supplied card and store it in a secure, offline place. This seed is the only way to recover your wallet—never share it online.
Install the official firmware update if prompted. Firmware updates include important security fixes and feature improvements. Only install updates from trezor.io.
Create your first receive address in the TreZor® app and test a small incoming transfer. Confirm all transaction details directly on the device screen before approving.
Always verify addresses on the device screen, not only on your computer. Use a physical backup (fireproof safe or bank deposit box) for your recovery seed. Avoid digital photos or cloud storage for seed phrases. TreZor® offers advanced options such as passphrase protection for additional security.
Official documentation, firmware downloads, and verification tools are available at trezor.io/start. If you suspect your device or seed has been compromised, move funds to a new device immediately and contact TreZor® support.
Note: This page provides concise, practical instructions. Keep your TreZor® firmware and the TreZor® app up to date for best security.
